About Us
The Background
The Irish Pure Friesian Club was formed in 2003 by a group of Irish farmers with a keen interest in breeding British Friesian cows. The club operates under the auspices of the Irish Holstein Friesian Association (IHFA) and shares a commitment to breeding pedigree registered quality animals suited to sustaining family farming in Ireland.
The British Friesian is typically a profitable, long-life cow. She is an easy-care animal, with excellent fertility and valued beef progeny.
The Irish Pure Friesian club welcomes new members. Our committee can be reached at irishpurefriesiancommittee [@] gmail [.] com.
Pedigree breeding is about more than figures. Confirmation matters.
The Irish Pure Friesian Club’s pedigree breeders are interested in the many attributes that make up a quality animal. They study not only the production figures, but also the physical confirmation of the cow or bull before selecting sires.
