Irish Pure Friesian Open Day 2024
A big treat for dairy farmers - this year's Irish Pure Friesian National Open Day will be held at the Carrickshock Herd. Pat & Claire Cleary and family will welcome us to the home of Carrickshock Mabel and Carrickshock GTW. A herd steeped in quality and show success, this will be a special day out!

About the event
The Carrickshock Herd is a respected and popular herd both in the Irish Pure Friesian Club but also in the UK's British Friesian breeders club. Carrickshock GTW is a hugely successful bull in the Genus catalogue in the UK and Ireland for the last number of years, and Pat & Claire know how to turn out champion cows and heifers at The Iverk Show each year.
On the day there will be demonstrations on cow assessment, nutrition, and over 20 trade stands available to talk to.
There will be stock judging and a sale of quality young stock in the afternoon.
